The title exactly means what it says.It is written in James 4:4 (KJV)"Ye adulterers and adulteresses know ye not that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God." Making friendship with the world means enjoying the pleasures of this world. Pleasures are things and activities that pleases the eyes, the flesh and our pride of this life. In John 2:15-16 (KJV) it is written"Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the pride of life is not of the Father, but is of the world.
The lust of the flesh are all those worldly things that you do, adultery, fornication, vanities and things that make your body or flesh feels good.
The lust of the eyes, these are things that your eyes sees and pleases your eyes, like make up, jewelries, worldry dressing, worldly entertainment and material things.
The pride of life are things like boasting of ones achievement, beauty, fame and money. You have heard of some people have several houses, cars, private planes.Do you really need all these?
The Lord had been speaking to my daughter since October 2020 and He has been guiding us in this spiritual journey.The Lord had stripped us a lot of our worldly posessions and pleasures. Now i understand the Lord's ways, that He wants us to live a simple life. He wants us to focus our attention to Him instead of this worldly things and pleasures. Jesus lived a very simple life. The Apostles and Paul, lived in hardships, persecutions, in danger but they endured to the end.
In Luke 14:33 (KJV) it is written " So likewise whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.'
Clearly as you can see that to enter heaven or be save,we cannot love this world and we should detached ourselves from the world. Give up worldly posessions and pleasures.
